Hi, I'm Kelly. I'm a mom of 3, SLP, and nature-lover! I also love dogs, especially my dog, Tilly. Pet-assisted therapy is one of the "out of the box" types of therapy I offer! I also offer "walk and talk" therapy sessions as I believe that movement stimulates our neural pathways and language in a way that sitting at a table can't.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota, I began my career working in a children's hospital and later transitioned to the school setting. I have learned so much along the way! One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that we all have a story to tell. We all want to belong and believe that we matter! The ways in which we communicate our stories can be different, but each and every person's story matters. I always tell kids that I want them to be able to say what they want to whoever they're with, the way they want, wherever they are.
There is power in telling our story. And communication is the vehicle that creates connection. Whether it's verbal or nonverbal, through assistive technology or reading a facial expression, we all have so much to say. I'm here to help you, your child, and your family communicate and connect!
Thanks for stopping by my website. Drop me a note to say "hi" or ask a question. You are right where you're meant to be, right on time and I can't wait to walk this path toward better communication AND connection together!
